Switched up the blog layout and switched up my hair while I was at it.

This may sound shallow but my life was so much more magical and filled with wonder when I was changing up my hair every coupla months. There’s just something about the upkeep and thinking about what to do next that keeps you on your toes in all other aspects of life as well. I’d just like to say I’m much more happy and productive now.
Aside from the occasional breakup where I would ceremoniously sit in a dark room with candles and symbolically cut my locks with a samurai sword while crying, the main other reason for changing my hair is simply boredom. Hair is meant to be played with. You can always fix it and trust me, you can’t go bald from fucking with it too much.

Anyways.
It’s REALLY ridiculous how much I could go on about when it comes to my hair.

I’m not gonna get into the detailed background story but when I decided a change was in order, all I saw was RED. I’ve been blonde and while they may say that blondes have more fun, I did not. As a matter of fact I felt stupider. I mean, more stupid. Must be all that bleach seeping through my skull. Red, on the other hand, IS fun. It’s fun even when you’re feeling boring. It’s sassy as fuck. I included some redheads below for examples.
As a fiery Aries I decided I should go with my sign’s colour and the colour of my room. So far I’ve had people stop me on the streets asking me about it, hippie chicks at the natural food store hit on me and I got some new nick names. The only negative comment I’ve got was a really prissy square client at the nail shop indirectly calling me a she-devil. Seriously. A she-devil?? That the worst ya got?

(For those wondering, I bleached my hair TWICE to get it from a blue-black down to burgundy-brownish patchiness. Pure torture, a third time would probably be best but I couldn’t take anymore. And I dyed it using Special Effects ‘Nuclear Red.’ I bought the colour at one of those goth shops in Gastown in Vancouver)
