Two months of blood sweat and tears later and here it is! With the help of my friend Sonja (homegirl lurking in the back, paler than us all. She’ll be bloggin soon!) we finally got to present something we’ve been wanting to do since the beginning and even went to school for.
The show was such a blast. There was a moment with Daynah, Sonja and myself in the backstage, gripping on to each other for dear life as we heard the mechanical and chaotic opening to “Steppin Up” before our first model walked on out onto the runway… laughable looking back but at that moment I was ready to pee my vintage Versus bootyshorts in excitement.
We’ll have our collection online for sale soon, some are reworked vintage pieces: the green jacket, the cargo pants, the blue jacket (made from a pair of pants!), the white vest; And the rest are all original designs, including the accessories.
