I got a sneak peak of M.I.A’s new album (gracias Jeff), and collectively it’s pretty good. I mean, the tracks that have leaked so far are pretty meh, but after hearing the whole album in one sitting I can feel the continuity of the sound. Still displeased with XXXO but the rest is really intense (Paulo you must explain this song to me!). I guess that ‘noise’ factor of the album (influence from Sleigh Bells’ song writer Derek Miller) has to grow on me; it slowly is. It’s like Nonducor NAASTY/Couvy Sweatshop type beats haha. Hearing it live would be killer for sure, just like Sleigh Bells. Teqkilla was one of the best picks for me and this remix with Nicki Minaj hit the webwaves today. Plus, this song’s about that sticky icky and tequila, so obvs I’m posting.

Gyptian ft. Nicki Minaj - Hold Yuh (Remix)
Oh, Gyptian and di bad gyal edition. This song is so heart-melting and amazing, it’s been on repeat since I heard it yesterday. Gyptian released the original about a year ago, and now has a remix out with Nicki Minaj. Her vibe is a little different in this song, but she still has that Minaj flava that we all know and love. Speaak to me Nicki! As for Gyptian, his verse reminds me of that old Nelly song Luven Me. Confession-I used to love that song. Overall, this track has a really nice vibe.

Shoes that grow on you: Louis Vuitton
Immediately, I loved the entire Fall 2009 collection, ESPECIALLY the accesories (I made my own bunny ears and a chain necklace) but the shoes threw me off at first. THE HEEL. It gets fatter at the bottom! I’ve been told that heels in this shape actually provide the most stability obviously because of the large surface area at the bottom, but I always found those shoes kind of… ugly? Now the more and more I see them though, the more and more I like them. Maybe this means thosemoustache kitten heel birkenstock ugg Spring 2010 shoes will grow on me too…
