Waahhh. I want this heel-less trend to come down to the mass market, more specifically the mass market price range. I need some of these bad boys.

SPINAL TAP

DSquared Heels. I didn’t even know that the elastic/bandage ones existed. For the heel height and the low arch, they look like they would be surprisingly comfortable….

As a youngin, I had a million Barbies. From the super tanned Malibu Barbies (with matching neon pink convertible) to the “ethnic” barbies, Wheelchair Barbie, Babysitter Barbie, Barbie who pees, housewife barbie complete with her own house, family, girl friends, and lots of replacement Kens. Along with that she had the biggest wardrobe of the most AMAZING dresses EVER. I always wished that they would invent a machine that would turn Barbie’s clothes into my size so I could go to school in a gigantic ruffle sparkly pink gown, not like I don’t have any of those now.

I eventually grew up, and passed my once loved dolls to my baby sister, after I had ritually shown my rebellion and rejection to the idealistic and sexist “perfect woman” by chopping off her hair and mutilating her body with markers. Whatever, I still love Barbie to death, and I love when other brands collaborate with her. Christian Louboutin (btw NOT pronounced Loo-bi-TON like J-Lo says) designed three collector Barbie dolls, each complete with four miniature pairs of Louboutins, the first which will debuted today and can be bought at Barbie Collector or Net-a-Porter for $150.

I still wish they would just make human-sized Barbie clothes.

Shoes that grow on you: Louis Vuitton

Immediately, I loved the entire Fall 2009 collection, ESPECIALLY the accesories (I made my own bunny ears and a chain necklace) but the shoes threw me off at first. THE HEEL. It gets fatter at the bottom! I’ve been told that heels in this shape actually provide the most stability obviously because of the large surface area at the bottom, but I always found those shoes kind of… ugly? Now the more and more I see them though, the more and more I like them. Maybe this means thosemoustache kitten heel birkenstock ugg Spring 2010 shoes will grow on me too…

LOUIS VUITTON S/S 2010 FOOTWEAR… CUTE?

photos via Style and Jakandjil

It’s been a week or so and I’m still thinking about these shoes. Are they cute in a shoes with beards way? Are they hideous? Will you be rocking them next year? Will they inspire shoe designers everywear to borrow elements from them and make cheap knockoffs galore? Thoughts? I dug the fros and bags though.

All I know is that I hate kitten heels.

Alexander McQueen: Plato’s Atlantis

BEST SHOW OF THE SEASON??? It just might be. McQueen never disappoints, I mean LOOK AT THE SHOES. I just want to make sweet sweet love to them. Definitely my favourite show of the season, I watched the entire video (which made me late for class) and I was mesmerized from beginning to end.
